Nice set Mike - the 3rd shot is my favourite, the soft brown tones work so well

Some lovely shots here. My parents used to take us a lot to Bushy Park when we were kids.

Mine too. It was only down the road from us really (I grew up in Sunbury). We never went to Richmond Park though for some reason. Saw photos of how jam acked Richmond Park was this weekend. Poor deer.

Richmond Park is on my doorstep, and I prefer my bed rather than going out at silly o'clock to go into the park. Fortunately it's a 20 minute walk via East Sheen Common and another 20 mins to Royal Ballet School so all of it is walkable for me.
Your remark about the queues in RP just reminds me of the annual photofest of the Darwin wannabees trying to feed the stags. Sometimes some people leave their brains behind at the gate. Then there is the issue of cyclists.
Just convinced myself to stay in bed later this weekend.

I went the other week to Richmond Pk ( Fri 9th Oct) , got there for when the park opens at 7am, some decent shots and myself and a friend were pretty much the only photographers around, had the the place to ourselves photo wise till lunchtime.
The cyclists kept to the roads we went x country.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Small world. We grew up in Oatlands Village (between Walton and Weybridge). not far from you just over the bridge.

Cheers for the comments.
I got there around 6.30am on a Sunday morning and apart from a few cars the place was dead. By about 9.30 it was absolutely heaving, I could have sold my parking space for about £20 ten times over I reckon.
Anyway, it made a change and now I know where it is I will do it again.
