(?) means there was a technical word the missus didn't fully inderstand herself.
I'd imagine it was surface area. If (as we're led to believe) the 645D uses a cropped sensor then it probably does have around 1.7x the surface area of 35mm.

My K10D was (and is) my only AF SLR - everything prior to that had been manual focus.

My first AF camera (non SLR) was my Leica Minilux, followed by several AF digital compacts.

At current eBay prices I'd say around £40 for the MZ6 body, £10-20 for the 28-80 lens and £70-90 for the Tamron. Less if you sell them together (say around £90-100) as different people will likely want different parts. That's based on them being in good order obviously.

You'll lose about 15% of that figure on eBay in fees so if you want to sell them in the classifieds here you need to take that into account (£35 for the body, £10 for the 28-80 and £65 for the Tamron should see them shift). People will want photos of them either way though - buying "blind" will probably halve their values or worse.

Welcome to the forum.

Buy Mongoose's spare one and stop it heading east!

My cunning plan has been unveiled!

I can't bring myself to part with my Flek, I love it to pieces, but I have two Sonar 135 F3.5s so one of them may well be going on ebay soon.
My Flek was an excellent lens, but after buying the DA35 it simply never found its way back onto the camera. Seemed a bit pointless having it laying around doing nothing when I knew I'd get a good price for it.

If they made red and white versions and slapped Arsenal, Liverpool, Man Utd, etc badges on them (and sold them through the club shops) then I reckon Pentax would be the #1 in the DSLR market by morning!

I think HCB's a bit of a Marmite character - you either "get" him or you don't. I'm with you in the latter camp, but I know there are plenty of the former around here so be prepared for the onslaught of the HCB faithful...

Technically it could be classed as shill bidding and, therefore, outside the letter of eBay's law. But as there's no intent to deceive anyone (which is usually the purpose of shills) I think it's well within the spirit of them.

Up to you anyway John - it's no skin off my nose either way.

About half the photographic gear I sell goes to the far east, and yes the Chinese do seem particularly fond of CZJ stuff! I get the feeling though that this is a fad and that the prices will - eventually - start dropping again. I sold a Flektogon 35 to a guy in Taiwan last week for £148 and the same buyer is currently the high bidder on a Pancolar 50 of mine (£78 with two days to go). Both are good lenses but they're not really worth that sort of money IMO so I'm making hay while the sun shines.

Rarity is also a factor - there are some distinctly average lenses out there fetching large bids simply because they're thin on the ground. Collectors have a lot to answer for!

I'm not letting go of my Sonnar though - that's staying close to hand whatever the future may bring!
