No and no are the short, albeit disappointing, answers.

I didn't think you could get XP2 in 120? Might have a go with that then

Sadly, Kodak have discontinued this film in medium format. I got the last roll at Adorama and 7dayshop couldn't get me any.
Boooooooo!!! Guess I'll have to persevere with the Fuji then

I'm guessing but the colour pics could be the SMC 50mm f1.4 and I think the B&W super tak 35mm f3.5.
I don't think I've ever seen a bad picture taken with the 35/3.5 - much nicer than the 35/2 Super Tak I had until recently.

Yes, that does work better for me.

I do like the colours in the first one and the small details that are rendered so nicely. I hadn't noticed the second was HDR until I read the comments underneath so I reckon you've done a successful job there. Still prefer the first though...

Now this is something you won't hear me say very often, but I think I might prefer this one in black and white!

I find the middle greenery distracting and the 'dozer blending into it to the point where I find it hard to tell where one stops and the other begins.

I like the results you've got from the BW400C. I tried the Fuji equivalent recently and was pretty disappointed with how they turned out - very gritty and poor contrast. Might have to give that Kodak a spin instead.

The scanner looks to have done a very good job too. I'd like a dedicated film scanner but most of the film I shoot is 120 and dedicated MF scanners cost £££'s so I'll stick to my flatbed until my Lotto numbers come up...

Which lens(es) were these btw?

I sold a Pentax 645 outfit a few months back (body, film holder and 80mm lens) on eBay for £175 so it is possible. The one I sold was a little tatty but perfectly useable.

I've had fun with various folders and it's certainly the cheapest way to get into medium format shooting, just don't forget that they tend to be basic in the extreme unless you go for a Bessa II or Super Ikonta III/IV. Always check the fold out lens board locks into place and that the lens is parallel with the back, otherwise pass them by...

My personal recommendation though (for MF on a budget) would be as others have suggested - a Yashica Mat. You can get them for around £100 and while they don't have the engineering finesse of a Rollei they are pretty sturdy and produce excellent results. Don't get hung up on the meters, at this age it's hit and miss whether they'll respond to light anyway let alone be accurate - another £5-10 will give you a hand held meter that will do a better job in all lilkelihood. Plus they look cooler without a wart-like meter on top (but then I would say that as my YM doesn't have one).

As I just said to one of my mates, it was less than I'd hoped for but more than I thought it'd fetch...

It certainly does top up the 6x7 fund - I'm stood just shy of £800 to go towards one now but I'm holding out for a nice example. There's no rush as it won't get used that much over the winter anyway.

Thanks to anyone who bid - I don't know if the winner is a forum member but the lens is staying in the UK which I admit suprised me a bit, but in a good way.

So do I! But as always with auctions I'm prepared for the bidding to stop at any time - it could yet go for under £100...

I think it'll probably go to a collector rather than a user - I bet there's a 1957 AP out there somewhere just waiting for it.
