K5IIs & ME Super with FA24-90, DA17-70, DA55-300, misc old primes; Fuji X20.

Hopefully it won't be too much.......

I already have the two standard WR kit lenses so not really wanting to be doubling up, and with the cashback offer it's marginally cheaper to buy the K5 with lens than the body alone!!!
K5, K200 and several film Pentax cameras!
I don't know if anyone has heard anything that might give some form of indication what the price for this with the K5 kit might be?

Hopefully it won't be too much.......

Warehouse Express currently have it on pre-order at £599, already owning the DA17-70 & DA55-300 that pricing isn't likely to tempt me personally

But like alot of things at WExpress - their pricing is not the sharpest in the market.

That's true - normally at least 30% above SRS so if we're lucky maybe around £420

OK - it does depend what you look at - a quick comparison..
DA55-300...SRS £219, WEX £274.99
DA60-250...SRS £999, WEX £1078.00
but...
DA12-24...SRS £829, WEX £754
DA17-70...SRS £475, WEX £459

I asked SRS about the kit prices and the K5 with the 18-135 was something like £480 extra.

Plus certain places (Park do it too IIRC) put the RRP as the price for preorders until they actually have stock (at which point they charge the preorderers whatever the 'real price' is)

That is a little less than they quoted me, but it was a while ago and I think it was a bit of an inspired guess on their part; probably a maximum. OK, I'll tell, it was £500 but they did give me a very good price on the K5 and were fair with a trade in, so I won't be complaining.
