I've undercharged for postage before (not on purpose though!) and I've always swallowed the additional cost. I sent a rear spoiler for a Nissan Skyline to a buyer in Germany and charged postage based on weight of around £8, I failed to realise that it was too long to qualify for the service I'd charged for and I had to use a different method that ended up costing £45! The spoiler only sold for £20 so I've been a lot more careful since...

The most expensive postage I've ever quoted was for a KEF subwoofer (that I could barely lift) and that sold to a guy in Melbourne. Cost of postage? £138!!

The sub only fetched £75 and I never could figure why he didn't just buy one locally...

My copy of PPL has never crashed once so I can't help I'm afraid...

John's point about having enough memory sounds like a good place to start troubleshooting though!

I thought the lack of a swivel head might be a problem but I've found I use it almost exclusively off-camera so I'm kind of glad I didn't pay the extra for a feature I didn't need. Depends on your shooting style and what you want the flash for really...

I do concur that the hinges on the battery door are a weak point but just be careful not to snatch at it and it should be OK.

I know what you mean. I always weigh each item, add on 50g to allow for packaging (100g if it's over a kilo), get the actual postage price from the Royal Mail website and then add 50p (rounded to the nearest 5p) for packaging costs (tape/bubble wrap/etc). That seems to make my postage quite competitive and when you're trying to attract buyers every little helps...

I get a lot of Australian customers - that must be why!

I've got the Pentax version and although I don't use it too often (I prefer natural light if possible) it's invaluable at certain times. I love the wireless facility and I've never once regretted buying it.

I think this is the best article I've seen online for explaining bokeh in layman's terms: Link

I stumbled across this last year and it was what persuaded me to buy my Sonnar - never regretted that purchase!

Hopefully they get fees from the Royal Mail as well, even when the stamps are paid for online. Does this happen?
According to the Postmaster in my village no unfortunately

I agree that eBay is probably responsible for the increase in the number of parcels sent, but when you offset that against the fewer letters due to email you can see why it's hard for Post Offices to remain viable. In rural communities like mine the Post Office is a lifeline for many (especially the elderly) so anything I can do now to ensure it's still there when I'm an OAP is worthwhile imho...

I have two questions: What time are you going to bed and how secure is your house?
