You have to admire Pentax, there is no other company I know of that would bring out a new all singing all dancing updated model and then raise the price of the older unit by 25%.

In todays financial climate it seems that all firms are struggling to survive.
Over the top price rises will only hit sales, meaning the numbers sold will drop, and also the profit, so prices will rise again......
In the end we wont be able to afford the remote, let alone the camera to go with it!

Check what it says about batteries.
Some cameras will only work up to a maximum rating, 2300Mah for example. What rating are the batteries?
Does the camera support that size?
If all seems ok on the battery side it most likely is the camera that's at fault.
Maybe it's time to move on!

No, my SMC-M 40mm went for a measly £40, including carraige. The ones before and after were £20 up on that!
