Kodak pro 120 jobby, the only other professional lab was a 20 mile drive away.

Next time I'm buying Ilford B&W, that can be handled by my local independent store.

No problem Stefan, I just forget that not everybody has used 35mm film and when talking about lenses it can get confusing.

The ink jet refill set has gone up at £4.50, that covers the postage and insertion fee, I'll see who is interested, if anybody!

The smart media card has gone from £10 to £11 to cover postage, that also had to have free postage!

It seems from this thread that I've opened a can of worms (again), what can we, as users do about restrictive rules from ebay?

It's no good having a free insertion for £0.99 or less start items if you can't cover postage!

Have ebay shot themselves in the foot with this?

I'm still waiting for a film I took to get developed.

10 working days they said, three weeks ago!

Unfortunately they were the only firm that could develop it!

So everybody is going to charge £0.99+£3.00+£0.15=£4.14 minimum?

Would you bid at that?

The whole point of £0.99 start prices was to raise interest and boost sales. not allowing you to charge a reasonable P&P price is going to do the opposite.

Is this another case of a quality manufacturer wanting cash up front?

Who'll be next?

Tamron?

Sorry for confusing all you youngsters.

What I'm trying to get across is that the 50 fills an awful lot of the frame from a reasonable distance, which is good for portraits....

I have just tried to list some inkjet refill packs on ebay, £0.99 start price, no problem there.

£3.00 P&P, exceeds the £0.00 carriage I'm allowed to charge!

Come on! It cost that in materials and postage, what the hell is going on?

I might just as well throw these in the bin!

Don't forget that the 50 on a digital body equates to 75mm(ish), making for a very nice portrait lens.

Even when using an older lens I tend to leave the body in Av. I have aperture ring engaged in the menus so all I need to do is focus, compose, adjust aperture manually and shoot.

Maybe I should use Manual mode!

But what the heck it works either way!
