Hi
Personally I would rather wait until a Sigma 140 comes available at the right price. They do have one for Pentax, that I do know because I do have one but its not for sale.
I have enjoyed what I have taken with it so far and stretched it to the ring flash limits successfully.

Cheers

Ian

Happy Birthday Jon if that is the correct thing to say

Sorry to hear of your mishap but I bet the culprit suddenly noticed the ANPR fitted in lots of garages and realising that he could be there for a few minutes legged it before the cops arrived,

I will send you a PM

I agree with Graham. For some reason or another the eye naturally travels from bottom left towards top right. I was given a very long, boring convaluted reason for this by some brain boffin so perhaps there is someone out there who can put it into somple terms. Try and arrange a pic that runs the other way and for some scary reason it just does not look right, whereas if you have a view that leads from bottom left to top right it appears so much better. Stranger than fiction.

Cheers Ian

I have recently bought a Sigma 105 usedbut in immaculate condition for £200 and it works an absolute treat. I am going to be doing macro/close-up during my next college term and that is the reason I bought it. Look around, don't rush at the first option and take care but there are bargains out there to be had if you look hard enough and try the lens before you buy. It may mean a bit of travel, but hey, every bit of travel brings a new photographic opportunity

Hi Steve,

I think then it is about time that we put ourselves on the map. Are you a member of the Coalville Camera Club?

Cheers

Is there a Leics or East Midlands local group?

I have just obtained an EM-140 and used it for the first time yesterday. My main aim for this gun is to use it on close up and macro though yesterday it was neither of those but was used on medium range portrait and flower arrangement photography. I can only say that I am delighted with the results so far and am really looking forward to some nice macro work in the near future. If yesterday is anything to go by then I can heartily recommend this accessory. I would be interested in other views so please come up with good or bad events using this flash gun.

Thanks

Ian

Speaking as a Scot please don't ask a "Yorkie" to travel as it costs money and they make us look like Rockafella's.

Lewis is God's forgotten little acre. How I envy you for the photo ops but not the weather. Never mind just think no rain = no whisky. Where's the fun in that.
