I've already been corresponding with another user re a Yorkshire group, so thats four of us for starters, I for one would love some local knowledge about the Peak District and I'm sure you guys would like some about Yorkshire

Hi guys
Finally got to meet Roy Hampton about a local group, we intend to try and organise our first "Yorkshire Group" meet sometime before Xmas as Roy fancies a trip into Leeds to photograph the Xmas lights, so unless any more Yorkies come forward it'll just be the two of us.
As for a Yorks/Derbs group I gather Roy isn't too keen on traveling too far but we didn't discuss it much beyond him mentioning it (too many other things to chat about) but I have no problems with visiting the Peaks etc (tho' I do have limited mobility so no suggesting heart attack walks please)

Let me know when you are going in and I will try and meet you. I might need some tips as I am quite new to ds photography and ceratinly not taken pictures of lights.

I've never tried taking photo's of chirstmas lights either. There is the local lights switch on next wednesday. I was thinking of going and taking some photo's, weather permitting that is.

I have just joined this forum, has anything happened with the Derbyshire group since the last posting in December 06...?
I am in Derbyshire, and might be interested if I can fit it in with everything else that I am doing!
