We went to go out for the day on Sat, for my birthday and stopped of at the petrol station. There was a bit of a que so we joined the back of it. The guy in the van in front of us decided he was not going to wait any longer and started to reverse back. I sounded the horn on my car, but he carried on regardless, pushing the side of the our car in. He saw what he had done and then sped off. Someone tried to stop him but he went straight through a set of red lights to be avoided and just missing a learner driver. The number plate that was on the vehicle came back us unregistered.

Well gutted .....

Well the car needs a new door and spray work. So does anybody know a good bodywork place in the DE74 area?

Hi Jon, Sorry to here about your car. From what you have said I take the police have been involved!. I have just retired from the bodyshop trade after 20 odd years, and have come across this sort of thing a lot. The best thing to do is let your insurance company deal with it. I take it you have legal cover with your policy! so they should do some investigating on your behalf as well as the police. I don't know how old your car is, but if it is quite new you need to have it repaired by the manufactures (main dealer for warranty purposes etc) bodyshop and not by some independent repairer. You can actually insist on this to your Ins Co.

Hope this is of help jon.
Cliff.

Happy Birthday Jon if that is the correct thing to say

Sorry to hear of your mishap but I bet the culprit suddenly noticed the ANPR fitted in lots of garages and realising that he could be there for a few minutes legged it before the cops arrived,

I will send you a PM
