My sister heard about my time off and suggested I should look after my nephew for a few days.
Knowing he is a bit of the "Dennis the Menace" type, and seeks attention 24 hours a day, my thoughts of taking any pictures disappeared
I suggested we go to the Transport Museum in Glasgow to 'broaden' his mind and then go swimming.
We took one step into the Museum, and he was kicking and screaming to go swimming.
I dragged him round trying to get the 'Best Picture Ever' before the approaching deadline.
I managed to photograph the car but wasn't really that happy with it. The screaming and tantrums got too much for me , so we left, only to return minutes later, because he needed the toilet. Luckily the toilet was near the Talbot, so I thought I would try for another picture.
Just as I lay on the floor to take the image he appeared from the toilet and started kicking me and screaming, "let's go swimming", unfortunately there were too many witnesses, so I couldn't kill him
I managed to get just one picture, but it looked ok on the DS screen, ( wished I had taken the K10D + Fisheye ).
These competitions are taking their toll, and I have the bruises to prove it.

It is quiet a simple technique, but can be used anywhere you might want to lift, lighten, darken etc. selective parts of a picture.

It's the best image you have taken in the two week period, so if you only take one, then it's your best ever ???
I'm looking after my sister's 7 year old this week, last week was work, work, work, work, no time for pictures.
Managed to take the wee fellow to Glasgow Museum today, so got my 'best' picture.
I took the *istDS, after my friend Prieni spoke about using his *istD, and finding problems. Luckily the DS worked a treat, and it seems so small in comparison to the K10D + Grip, almost felt like a compact, must use it more.

Might not help, but maybe worth a try, might show if some functions are working ?

I think the second to last is my favourite, might crop a bit of the top, but that's just me

When I think of the cost, . . . . . . . well it's best not to think about that
