Fortnightly Competition no # 12: Your best shot ever.

In a ultimate attempt, to attract the attention of the forum members to this competition I am prepared to throw the gauntlet at all of you !!
I dare you all to come up with your best shot. It doesn't matter which subject you choose, it is all up to your own imagination.

The rules are:
Anything is allowed as long it is your own work, a Pentax camera is used, the picture doesn't exceed the 800 px mark at the long end
and it is shot, specially for this round within this fortnight.
Competition ends on Wednesday the First of April ( no, this isn't April's fools day)at 18.00 UK time. May the force be with you.

Taken last weekend with a view to possibly entering it in the 'Abstract' competition or this one.

Unfortunately I have not taken anything since

I had the opportunity of photographing a Moonraker (classic 1970's motor cruiser) ablaze in Chichester Harbour today, but it seemed slightly 'ghoulish' so I decided against it, partly because the boat was owned by a fellow berth holder and had motored past me only a few minutes earlier and partly because I did not know at the time if the crew were still on board, suffering in the fire.

Fortunately all four crew were recovered unharmed but the boat was destroyed.

Although the images would have been quite striking and probably newsworthy, I think that I made the right decision.

Back to the competition and I have selected the following from my two options of subject matter that I did capture during the relevant period :-

Trick of the Light

I tried various crops with this image but finally decided to leave it in context, clearly a car bonnet with the wall alongside.

Just as well I had washed the car, the day before

Best ever photo, maybe not, but you only gave me two weeks

Little A playing Nintendo during a power cut

Taken last Wednesday with the K20D + DA12-24 @ 15, F4, .5s, ISO 1000

Handheld - remarkable what you can get with IS on even at 1/2 a second - though the lens helps here too (the 12-24 performs really well in low light at f4 - not sure if this is to do with the width?)

Pictures what is known locally as "Billy Wynt Fach" or "Little Billy Wind" - part of an old windmill on the site, rebuilt as a folly by the Victorians. Billy has seen his fair share of sunsets !
