Matt, I first used an Apple in college back in the late 80's, and have purchased a few since then.

I'm running a G5, that, although a year or two old, still suits my needs, although I do fancy one of the new 24" models

I have been using PC's for work since my college days, mostly in engineering functions, and have two laptops and a desktop unit, all work supplied, I see them as, 'just tools'.

Never actually bought a PC and can't see any reason to either.

My Mac does all I need. I even find I do work related stuff on the Mac then transfer it to the PC.

By the way, in the last 10 years, I have NEVER had any virus protection software on my Mac

( Although that may need to change as so many windoze users are switching over )

PhotoShop, Lightroom etc., etc., all seem to work flawlessly, as do lots of other photo / music related software. Apple did invent the iPod after all.

So from someone that uses both PC's and Mac's daily, I bought Apple.

I've been collecting Pentax gear for over 30 years now and I'm putting together a list of stuff I'm hoping to sell off to finance the DA17-70. I'm happy that you rate it so highly.

I find I'm using only the Pentax fish-eye, the FA50/1.4 and my Sigma 105 macro these days, although there are times the 18-55mm kit lens does make an appearance. I feel the 17-70mm would fit into my needs very nicely. I think the rest, ( about 7 or 8 of them ), can go.

Sorry, I did mean to come back to you, but I have been working away from home a lot recently.

I agree with Gartmore, that it does feel like a PhotoShop competition, and as I don't shoot RAW much, I have very little to offer.

I hope someone feels this is worth taking forward, but, I'm sorry it holds little interest for me

Sorry jackitec, don't know what the price for a K20 would be, I was just stirring things up a bit

I love my K10D, and feel I have not used it to it's full capacity yet, but I would still like a K20D.

If you buy the 'K7-X7-GT midi - Shuttle-craft- Konstantingople-Mark-XViii-2' and can live with it's 3.99kg weight, and built in tripod, flash umbrella and personal assistant, I may give you an offer for the K20D

Pothers, you say that now, but . . . . . . . .the K20D will be worth 50 pence when the K7D-X7-GT midi - Shuttle-craft- Konstantingople-Mark-XViii-2 arrives in May

Hardgravity, get to the end of the queue, latest I heard, the new K7 also cooks a mean breakfast, and will take pictures without a lens attached, ok , only in the 0.2 to 12000m field, but I'd accept that !!!

I want bacon and eggs @ f2.8, with toast at 500mmm

To get back on "TOPIC", I hope all you K20D owners are going to sell on your 20's to the few of us that will never be able to afford the K7D, with all that it offers, ( I hear that it it comes with internal 1000mm lens compensation, just dial in'1000mm' and you get Hubble quality ????
