The best investment that you will ever make, is a pair of Wellies or waders or both and always have at least the wellies in the booth of the car especially when it gets miserable cold and camera and lens in hand and that puddle of shite and wet is then surmountable. Fished from a young age loadoftripe

See the second photo Loadoftripe, i like it because its an old fibreglass bilge keel hull against a really old ship lap timber hull and that is the photograph.
The contrast between the two with the texture from been laid up for so long, is a photo worth pursuing when light permits.
Forget all the surrounding elements and concentrate on the texture between the two old wrecks, get in close.
you probably have loads of time cause neither boat is going anywhere soon
Oh i forgot to say. that i like the photograph as it is, it just got me thinking.

I personally think, that this is a future for most niche high value goods brands.
The low volume of sales will make it easy to apply for the niche brand to sell directly to the customer.

i recenctly purchased a carbon fibre tripod "Rollie Beta MKii " which came supplied with the T5ii ball head directly from Rollie Germany for 199 euros plus 15 postage, basically half price.
The deal was there for months on end because they were awaiting the arrival of the MKiii version.
Ricoh(pentax) are probably applying a similar strategy to be competitive to ensure survival and reach customers directly rather than supplying various vendors to do the job.
They probably will keep the best of the high street sellers that they have, but maybe not

Number 3 for me, great dept of field and clarity that makes the eye have a look for a while.
I like the cat photo too but we've seen em before so many times from everyone that owns one.
yes number 3 tops the lot.

Today i bought a Nisi HUC CPL in 72mm(a polariser) from Cfiphoto.com
Guess what? the warehouse that sells the Nisi equipment online worldwide is a twenty minute walk from where i live and i could collect it at there door
i also bought a few adapter rings i need for other lenses
Then i decided to purchase the Nisi V5 pro 100mm system filter holder kit which includes its adapter rings and polariser for the knock down price of 80 Euros.
just shy of 200 euros spend in total and now i have to get the Grads and NDs to complete the set up.
Another fortune to spend maybe in a few weeks time but Darren the chap i was personally dealing with said, there's a price hike coming in the glass filters as in very soon.
Still happy with the deal and the chat.

Too hot today Lubbyman, so the beer was always in front once the cap was released

It could be, a mackintosh wearing flasher with the new coatings.
Pentax have a habit of not exactly revealing, about what there up to next

Well after all the near misses of various lenses and my visa card not being confirmed for online shopping with all the raft of recent security measures(sorted it eventually with the bank)
I finally have purchased a 2018 DFA*50mm 1.4, used but described as 'like new' from MPB Germany for 789 euros about 665 sterling and ten euro postage.
Im very excited with this purchase and hopefully will arrive early next week.
Thanks to everyone who contributed and sound advice it was, as i looked at hundreds of images from all of the suggestions and alternatives but on this occasion my heart has ruled my head
As far as the weight issue goes time will tell but im used to lugging and i am delighted it has only a 72mm filter thread for obvious reasons
So on to the DFA*21 mm next, next year or maybe longer
