Same thing for me. When I used an existing card with pictures from the k20D to the K7, it just continued from there. So my counter is off my 1.3k frames . . .
i called my local tech guy and he told me that there is nothing to worry about as pentax does there tests and the cam will come with about 200 test counts so i knew that i was off by that amount as my last pic from the K20D was 1301 . . .

Yes it is . . .but I have researched it and so far have found no really good answer.
I know the K7 has the SR and dust removing modules. You can feel movement when you handle the camera. And I know that's normal. BUT...it seems like when I take a picture, just after the pic is taken you can feel a slight nudge or thump. Sometimes it's barely noticable, and sometimes (especially after using an attached flash) it is very noticable. Is this normal?

I managed to find out the cause and it was silly me not saving by scrolling to "save settings"

My K7 was recently updated to v1.03 and the date is now one month and one day ahead
eg I set it to 2010/04/06 and after a while when I check the pic taken it shows 2010/05/07.
Anyone else have this issue?

Welcome to the Pentax family. I myself just changed from the K20D to the K7 on 22nd March 2010.

Its funny I was in Jacobs in Edinburgh yesterday and noticed they have a GX20 on display, the one that I had shipped up from London, that was going to be £549 for lens and body.
Its now on sale £550 Body only and £349 for the lens!
