I have the remote F which i keep with my spare memory cards and takes up very little space. But my favourite is thislink The Seculine Twin 1 R3 which can be used both as a cable release or as an Infra Red release with a range of 50 metres with Pentax and Nikon Camera`s and 25 metres with Canon.

On the site it says only Nikon. Is there a different part number for the Pentax model?

Thanks.

Oooppps, sorry guys. K200 should be similar to our K10D/K20D where it is either auto or select the in-body battery or grip battery . . .

I agree with Stefan as I have both the K7 and the K-x. The K-x gives you the choi to select the type of battery in the menu and it has been advised to change to the type you use and the problem goes away.

After my experiences with the cheap ebay focussing screen I am not inclined to fiddle around any more, I just want my camera back the way it was. The VAT, duty and Parcelfarce admin charges would be horrible on an imported split screen costing over £18.

I really think Pentax would be on to a winner if they offered replacement screens with the 45 degree prism that were properly manufactured for the bodies. It'd make life so much easier!

I have improved the dust problem by removing the screen and rinsing it under the tap, before drying with a rocket blower and reinstalling. That has helped, but obviously didn't remove the scratches.
These aren't cheap like those from ebay. Or the mother of all screens from Katzeye. USD$150 each

Does it also has the preview (digital/optical) on the on/off ring?
Hi Stefan,

Both Tony and mine has the preview function as we got it from dealextreme.

My suggestion would be a K7 with the dual kit lenses of 18-55mm WR & 50-200mm WR. From here, he can play around with both lenses to see what he really wants to capture and then move on to other lenses.

For protraints, the DA*16-50mm/2.8 & 50-135mm/2.8 are good starters or go for a FA43mm/1.9 Limited/FA77mm/1.8 Limited. The other lenses for portraits will be the DA40mm/2.8 & DA70mm/2.4

For landscape, he could start with the DA12-24mm/4 or even the Sigma 10-20mm/4.

For wildlife, DA55-300mm/4-5.8 or the Sigma 50-500mm.

I for one use the DA*16-50mm/2.8 as my main kit lens and my tele is the 50-200WR. i do have the 18-55WR as I bought the dual kit for the K7. The DA* was a brought over from my K20D, which I sold away to finance for the K7 as the price had come down recently.
