The bikes look nice but the sunshine and blue sky is a real sight for sore eyes here in UK at the moment!

Number two for me.

I have a Benbo trekker and find it quite easy to use and very flexible, in a useful way! Rule number one though, set it up before attaching the camera. It is easy to get it going floppy when you are not ready for it and that is when you don't want the camera attached!

I generally use a ball head with it, which allows me to use its flexibility and still get the pics the right way up.

I think you will have stop down metering with non-S-M-C lenses. There were a few late Super Takumar lenses that did have the extra bits for open aperture metering as well.

Check out the manual here link

Think the pirate is my favorite, seems to be marooned there.

Mind you, the yellow and green hippo seems to be a happy chap.

You could try Rymans or Staples for the spray mount.

I think at least one of them had it last time I was looking.

Fantastic.

The camp is like tent city but I can't see the climbers near the summit.

I have cleaned the screen on my K10. The K5 hasn't needed it yet.

If you remove the screen from the camera carefully, with tweezers only holding onto the handling tab, then use the blower. Replace the screen into the camera straight away, before it gets dust on again. This way you get the bits off both sides of the screen and don't move the dust around in the camera.

If you google 'changing Pentax focusing screen,' you will find instructions and videos showing the procedure.

How about a Super A.
Program, shutter/aperture auto, manual, TTL flash metering. Off the film metering too. Small and light, same sort of size as the ME's. Whats not to like in a former European camera of the year. I still have mine, bought new in the 80's, climbed many mountains together and it never let me down.

Of course someone will bring up the fact that it needs battery's but I think we have got over that old chestnut now we have all got used to digital cameras where the batteries don't last a year!

Looks like homemade/adapted to me, very well done but doesn't quite look like Pentax build quality.

Interesting idea as I guess you get rear as well as front movements, you only get the front movements with a tilt shift lens. Of course the lens needs to give you enough coverage.
