Welcome to the site.

Thoroughly enjoyed your Scotland pictures. Particularly like the wildlife ones, some nice shot there.
You'll have to let us see some more of your pictures here.

National Trust tried it on a while back, claiming they owned the copyright of all their property so any pictures taken on their property belonged to them. They gave up that nonsense as it was completely imposable to police and nobody took any notice.

I don't think we have anything to worry about, as has been said already we don't copy the item only the reflected light and that light does not belong to them! If anything, we can complain that their building(or whatever) is robbing us of the light in the first place.
Nobody is going to get rich trying to chase royalties from me and anyway I doubt if they will even know my photos exist in the first place.

I think there will be a lot more of this nonsense from the press over the next year or two. Its just a hearts and minds exercise to upset people in the run up to certain referendum that might be in the pipeline.

Copyright laws won't affect me as I don't photograph public buildings, monuments or other blokes wags or daughters.
I only use my camera to catch the light reflected from them!!!
Funnily enough, mine does the same thing and they don't own the light!

I guess in the case if the Eiffel tower at night they do but we should all complain about the light pollution caused by the operators!

CHEERS Vic.
The bike is made in Italy and is a modern reproduction.

My spare batteries for both K10 and K5 are cheap ones off of Ebay.

Both work the same as the originals. I don't remember seeing anything about chips on Pentax batteries so assume they don't have them. I haven't heard any one complaining at all. Lots of discussion about the OEM v generic but i have not seen any mention of chips being used in those discussions.

It would have been the 18-135, but now I think I'd choose the da16-85. With the da16-85 there is such a lack of flair it would really help a lot in that situation.

Of course it does rather depend on what you want to take pics of?

I think you need to give a bit more information, after all string can come in many lengths and with many qualities!

What lens/lenses have you got already?
What camera do you have?
What sort of pictures are you looking to take & where?
Is weight an issue? Is size an issue?
What is your budget?

There are lots of choices you can make.
