For the record my experience with JPS wasn't stellar but may have turned out ok, time will tell. First of all the first repair of the SDM motor in my DA* 300 took a couple of months, Then after two weeks both the AF and the manual focus stopped completely. I suspect it may have been reassembled poorly. Back again only faster, just three weeks and all well so far.

I've been using these on glasses for a couple of years and they are great. I've been nervous about them on lenses though. By the smell I think they are IPA based (not the beer, Iso Propyl Alcohol) but not found them good on LCD monitor or TV screens.

Nice to see that they have approx 99% kept the same shape and layout as the K3. Just the odd little shape difference here and there and the odd extra button. That's one thing about Pentax for people when they are moving up. They keep things familiar so the learning curve isn't to steep. I think I'll have to save a few pennies from my pension for a couple of years.
CHEERS Vic.
P.S. I think a good name would be either. K35. or just K.F In the tradition of all those KM's LX's etc. Vic.
Perhaps Ricoh should launch a competition to find the name....the winner to get the first camera off the production line

Well if the 150-450 can come close in sharpness to my DA*300 at the 400 + range and the new focusing system is better I will find a way of funding it! Even more so if, being f5.6, it works well with the 1.4x converter.
Sell my Bigma, DA*300 and 55-300 and I'll only need another £1000

What makes you assume that Pentax Users are older than average though?
You and me The profile pictures and the number of people who talk about their film Pentax's and threads like Richard's above demonstrating a similar route to me to be a Pentax user. Also when you do a lot of wildlife and bird photography you constantly come into contact with a lot of other photographers and every single (rare) Pentax user I've ever seen appears to be over 50.

The age profile of Pentax users might be interesting as well. Current sales figures are one thing but future sales are more important and if the profile is skewed to an older age group it is not good. I get the impression that there are lot like me of ageing enthusiasts who have chosen Pentax from earlier good experiences, the k-mount starting out with their legacy lenses to try out digital and staying with it through longstanding continued loyalty. I think you can add to that personalities that like quality and good value and don't like to be seen as part of a mob or with the in crowd! But that has now come at the price that you pay for becoming part of a shrinking Empire. Progress will be slow or non-existent. If I were starting out now with no history of Pentax (as younger buyers would be) would I choose Pentax? Probably not. Will I continue with Pentax? I think I would always keep my K3 and a couple of lenses but if that camera breaks or things don't leap forward in certain areas I will change.
