No.1 for me. It would have been 2 for the sense of space, mentioned above, except I would have liked a bit more of the beach to accentuate the fact that there IS a beach.

Since we take billboards for granted and more often than not ignore them, perhaps the properties of a photo of a billboard get similarly taken for granted? I must admit, I saw the image and thought, "what a vulgar advert" and moved on. Considering it again, I now think, "What a lousy advert" because it fails utterly to sell its payload (whatever is written on the bottle). I can only remember THONG!
And notice now that I have not mentioned the merits or otherwise of the photograph at all because of the overwhelming THONGiness of the THONG!
(dunno how women can wear them. A piece of string between the cheeks would drive me crackers).
So, now, the actual photograph is even further away from my thoughts. etc., etc.
Cold shower anyone?

I still lament the loss of my Exakta RTL1000 with two Meyer Optik lenses. A wonderful camera to hold and to use and pictures that put razor blades to shame. It was stolen in a burglary 20 odd years ago and replaced with a Pentax ME Super.

I always used rechargeable AAs in my *istDS. They too lasted for a very long time.
You can get a charger and 4 high capacity batteries (all in one pack) for less than the cost of the same 4 batteries in Wilkinsons ..... crazy!

You just answered a question I was thinking.
Yes, it is a super lens - so is that 28mm you list in your handle . (The 28mm TAK is even better).

#1 is most certainly striking (the others being close runners up)
Where are all the lunchtime people?

I've got an over-the-shoulder sling thing that has a sturdy screw fastening for the tripod mount. It is amazingly comfortable to wear and the camera is ready to hand at once BUT you don't have it bouncing around on your chest. Thoroughly recommended.

I have acquired a Starblitz 3602DTZ which appears to be quite an all-singing/ dancing item with twin flashes (direct and bounce) and selectable dedication for a variety of cameras - incl. Pentax. It was originally used on an A3 electronic film camera.

The literature warns about trigger voltages for film era flashes being very high and therefore dangerous to use on modern DSLRs but the various tables give wildly differing data for different Starblitz units:
e.g. the 3600DS = 4-5v; 3600BTV Twin = 170v and 3200BT Twin =64v. The 'twins' look very much like being No No's. These tables don't contain the 3602DTZ Twin, which seems to be a later model and I have only found one reference to its trigger voltage being 10.6v.

Has anyone experience with it or advice about using it on a K5 or similar?

Well, he didn't get his knees wet and soggy for nothing. These are great shots.

Get yourself some more of those SMC As. The 'zoom 1:4 70~210mm' is another one that will knock your socks off. It's also very good close up and not too much CA in high contrast situations. Here is one in maybe the worst possible situation.
This is straight out of the camera, straight up at full 210mm zoom with about +2EV. You can just pick out the purple fringe on the thick branch and hints elsewhere if you pixel peep.
