I think you will struggle to find one apart from ebay for such an old camera I'm afraid. Eight years is a long time with DSLRs. I don't think pentax made one but Ansmann, I think, did.

It can fire the shutter but you need to add an external connector (included) to do so, but still better than nothing I suppose. I've no idea how the quality will be.

Thanks for the info so if there isn't a battery grip for it, whats the best type of rechargeable battery for it, to be more Eco friendly?

Wow, you're right, I hadn't realised. It seems you can have either a shutter button or a battery but not both.

The *istDS was a lovely DSLR. It does seem rather slow in operation compared to the current models and the screen is very small, but it was a classic.

I always used rechargeable AAs in my *istDS. They too lasted for a very long time.
You can get a charger and 4 high capacity batteries (all in one pack) for less than the cost of the same 4 batteries in Wilkinsons ..... crazy!

I still use my K100 D Super most weeks, admittedly with a one of my old manual lenses. As the auto-focus system isn't working, the AA rechargeables seem to last for ages. I like to use Energizers, the higher capacity variety and keep a spare set charged.
The results from the K100 will amaze you, I'm sure. Just don't expect to make enormous enlargements or for the focus system to keep up with more recent DSLRs. One benefit is the light weight which Pentax somehow achieved without compromising build quality: this is noticeable on a long shoot.
