Comment by davidstorm posted on K-3 iii For Sale with other nice items at great prices at 05/12/2021 - 15:31
As you probably know, I am slimming down my camera gear and some really nice items have to go. Prices are very competitive, so if you want one of these please don't delay as they won't be around for long (also advertised elsewhere). The items and prices are:
1. Pentax K-3 Mk3 in excellent condition and with 9,696 Shutter Count - £1250. Includes 1 original battery, original charger, a genuine leather Pentax K3iii strap (un-used) and original box with instructions, CD etc.
2. Pentax DA*11-18 in original box (no lens pouch) - £775
As for condition, the K3 is excellent, just a couple of tiny scratches on the rear screen which are almost invisible and cannot be seen when the screen is on. I can't see any other cosmetic issues and everything is fully working as it should be. The lens is virtually un-marked, there is just one tiny nick on the green band that goes around the base, but it's hardly noticeable. The lens hood has some scratches near the edge where it has been rubbed against objects, but it's fully functional. The lens is fully working.
If anyone is interested, please message me. All prices are excluding shipping, which will be of the buyer's choice.

Kind Regards
David

I also notice that if I turn it on after not using it for a period of time, then click into Live View, the shutter sometimes doesn't open, but this is just another symptom of the same issue. Again, after that first instance, everything operates properly and the camera takes perfect images.
I'm selling my other K-1 now, so this one will get more regular use.

It would be good to have some notice of future workshops that you're doing.

As part of my ongoing efforts to slim down my camera gear and bring in some funds, I have one of my K-1's for sale currently on ebay and would like to offer it on here if anyone is interested (BTW, this is not the one with the cracked screen, this one is in near-mint condition and has only taken just over 4,500 shots). It's on ebay as an auction listing and is currently at £645 after 2 days of a 7 day listing, but I am happy to sell here for £950 plus shipping of the buyer's choice. The sale also includes a Tamron 70-300 FF lens, which I've used extensively on this camera (see my gallery images) and is proven to work really well with the K-1. It focuses accurately and is sharp throughout its zoom range. 1 genuine battery and a brand new third party charger are also included.
See images below, if anyone wants to buy the K-1 please message me within the next 5 days so I can end the ebay listing.
BTW I also have some other beautiful items coming up for sale soon, including a K-3 mk3, a D-BG8 battery grip for the k-3 mk3, a D FA 150-450 lens and a DA*11-18 lens, all of which will be at fantastic prices compared to similar items available elsewhere. If anyone would be interested in any of these items before I get around to listing them, please message me.

I noticed the unusual lens used for the second shot, it seems to be pretty good!

I have another one for you. It affects the K3 as well. If you set the shutter release to IR remote and then ask the camera to do a burst of shots, it does exactly that when you press the remote. The problem is there's no way to make it stop! And no, this doesn't fix the original problem!
