Great images Gareth, particularly the BW ones. I'm drawn to #2 and #5 more than the others, but they're all very good.

I hope you start making inroads on the health front soon, myself and my family have luckily managed to avoid the dreaded Covid until now and we have our boosters tomorrow, so hoping we can avoid it. It certainly seems to have hit you very hard, best wishes for a full recovery.

Kind Regards
David

Great images Peter, I love the starburst ones. The K10D is a fantastic camera, it has a great CCD sensor that reproduces images differently to any of the more modern DSLR's. Your skill is very evident in these shots.

Kind Regards
David

Quick bump for the 150-450, it's a great lens and I may just have to keep it if no-one bites!

If I didn’t already have one this would be top of my Christmas list….. amazing bit of kit!!!
+1 (and then some).
I'm hoping you're right, I've been searching for the best glass in this focal range, I have a Tamron 70-200 and it's great, but the Sigma has HSM and a better reputatation, so can't wait to try it out.

Once it hits £1200 I may consider buying (few years away I imagine)
Mine could have been bought for that Mike, only just over 2,000 clicks and around 6 months old. It went last week on ebay.

Just fantastic and fascinating! The image quality from those old lenses is astounding and the lighting is spot-on. I would be interested to see what happens if you re-did the shots under an artificial light source, such as an LED photo light, in particular whether there would be any chromatic aberrations apparent.

As a final few words to close this post, I just have to mention that I got a very nice surprise in the post a day or two ago and would like to sincerely thank Kevin (Urbanmeister) and his wife for the surprise.

I received a lovely hand-made card from Kevin's wife, thanking me for what I did in fixing up and selling the Spotmatic for charity and also a very heartfelt handwritten letter from Kevin himself. It's great to know that there are still a lot of people with manners and morals and principles in today's world that can sometimes feel a little harsh and cold. It's personal touches like this that make all the difference.

Kind Regards
David

This is the last of the items I will be offering to PentaxUser Forum members as I've nearly completed the sale of my surplus kit.

The lens is in near-mint condition with just some cosmetic marking to the tripod foot and a few very minor marks on the plastic lens hood. The glass is unmarked, as is the lens body. There are no operational issues, everything is fully working. This lens is extremely sharp from wide-open at all focal lengths on my K-1. It is of equivalent sharpness to my DA*300+1.4TC, when set at 420mm to match the same focal length of the DA* and TC, this is to say it is razor-sharp.

I'm selling as I need to raise some funds and I also own a DA*300 and 1.4 TC, as mentioned above this combination is of equivalent sharpness and I always seem to shoot the 150-450 at the long end, so keeping both is probably not justifiable (I'm trying hard to convince myself).

The lens is also offered for sale elsewhere (ebay and the Pentaxians group on facebook), but if sold on here I am happy to accept a lower price. The price if sold on this forum is £1200 plus shipping of the buyer's choice. Please send me a PM if interested.

Just a quick bump and a last chance for anyone to buy my K-1 with just over 4,500 shutter count and in near-mint condition, before it goes to someone on the ebay auction. The price for anyone on here to buy it is £950, which I think is pretty reasonable for a K-1 in perfect working order and such a low shutter count. It comes with a Tamron 70-300 lens attached which works exceptionally well on this body.
