Very nice shots, the quality of George's 50-135 shines through, but it's the photographer that takes the shots and these are very well taken.

9th March should be OK for me too. Why not just post this as THE DATE and let everyone make a decision whether to come or not. You will never please everyone and I think it's best just to set a date and stick to it as changing it about just causes confusion.

I hope I can make it as it sounds really different from the normal meet.

A magnificent set of images. I was so inspired I had to send him a message tonight to tell him so. It is a shame we don't see more of Giulio's images on the Gallery.

The image of the young girl shot with the K-5iiS shows clear signs of camera-shake and/or lack of focus, whereas the K-5ii image does not, so comparisons of sharpness and detail rendering are completely invalid based on these two shots.

I will reserve final judgement on the K-5iiS until I get my hands on one, but feedback from current (highly experienced) owners does suggest that the iiS is more than a small step up from the standard K-5 in terms of IQ.

I'm not sure why Smeggy is so set against the observations of people who have used the iiS; when I read some of the posts it brings images of Ostriches with their heads stuck in the sand into my head! Sorry Smeggy, no offence is meant, it just makes me think of this!

Best wishes
David

I like these very much George. The IQ is excellent, they are all very 'clean' and the compositions appeal to me. I particularly like the man with the umbrella, but all of them are good. BTW, I don't mind the vignette at all.

Hello Tim, an excellent set, Cave Dale 2 is my particular favourite. It was great to meet you and put a face to the name, I hope you enjoyed the day as much as I did. Thanks for shooting my backside, I didn't realise how big it looked

Cheers

Another vote for Redsnapper. Mine has now had a year or more of very heavy usage, in all manner of conditions, most of them pretty harsh. It is very sturdy and easy to adjust. I think it will last a good few years without much trouble and I would buy another one if needed. The only downside is that it's not as light as some others, but the payback for this is increased stability and robustness.

Excellent work Shaun, all very good. The images were great before this treatment was applied and the processing makes them highly dramatic. Very different from what we normally see on the site and it's a pleasure to view them.

Thanks for sharing.
