Sincere thanks to AndrewA from me for the great Peak District day out. The weather was a bit cold (and extremely windy), conditions underfoot were difficult to say the least, but we Brits thirive in adversity and all had a very enjoyable day. Please look out on the Gallery and the Forum for some of the shots we got and let us know what you think!

All the best, David

Epson printers suffer from a similar issue, but with them the cast is green, not magenta. For this reason I never make BW prints on my Epson. If anyone has a way of avoiding this I would be interested!

Welcome from me too. The forum and the community in general is a great way to learn, especially if you can meet up with some of the members and go out on some shoots.

Best wishes

I'm not sure if this is relevant to the topic or not, but I recently had an issue with images I was uploading to the Gallery. A kind member pointed out that one of my images had strange colour saturation and that the grass in particular was an odd shade of green. On my monitor it looked normal, but on his colour managed monitor it was wrong. It turned out that Adobe Camera RAW was set to 'Adobe RGB' instead of 'SRGB'. I have now made sure all of the settings are 'SRGB' and the result is that images uploaded to the Gallery are now retaining their proper consistency, vitality and colour, whereas previously there seemed to be something lacking on the Gallery images when compared to my originals.

Shaun's problem has been solved, we will both be there at 9:00am, looking forward to seeing all the usual suspects again and also to meeting a few new acquaintances!

Very nice Paul, they have turned out well in spite of the high ISO setting.

Great slideshow Shaun, I recognise most of the shots and quite a few were taken when I was with you on our various forays out into the wilderness!

It's a really good way to show your images.

David
