From what I've seen in the few days since the TC arrived, there is no need to worry about image quality, especially when used with good glass like the DA*300 or the 100 macro. There is a minimal reduction, but the results still outshine something like a Sigma 150-500 and the aperture is faster too! Contrast and colours are great and AF appears to be unaffected with these lenses. I am going to try it with some zooms, I'm sure the IQ will suffer more with these but I'm keen to see the results.
You might have seen the thread I posted a couple of days ago, containing some test shots with the TC and the DA*300 / 100 F2.8 Macro WR. I was pleased with the sharpness of these, especially considering they were shot outside in breezy conditions. The TC performed very well indeed and is easily the best I have ever used, in fact it's the only one I've used that I would say the IQ is better (at equivalent image size) with the TC than it is without it and scaling up the image to match.

They are all very good indeed, my favourite being possibly the Dragonfly.

Thanks for posting the pics and asking for feedback. What I would do is focus more on the details rather than the wider views, to isolate individual elements of the landscape and architecture. Most tourists will not do this, so by definition you will end up with shots that look different.
Also, try using depth of field creatively, maybe include some strong foreground interest (wild plants, rocks, sea shells etc.) and use a wide aperture to blur most elements of the image, leaving only the desired parts in focus.
Finally, shoot in the early morning or the evening, when the light is softer and less directional.
There is nothing wrong with the shots you've posted from a technical point of view, but they look a little 'flat', especially 2, 3 and 4. The first has depth and to me is the most successful, as it leads the eye along the distant shoreline.
Hope this helps.

No.1 has the lighting and focus spot-on (to my eyes) - what aperture was it?
Colour in particular stands out. Sharpness at this size is difficult to establish, but the general quality is stunning.
I have the TC and 100 and 300 and this has inspired me to have another walk around with the 100. I couldn't see much point in using it with the macro as it definitely reduces the IQ, but there may be other advantages especially with shy stuff...
I posted a moon comparison and got no replies; essentially, in my quick test, the improvement was negligible. The extra pixels of the K3 would be a better solution for going bigger I think.
My daughters and wife seem to think no.2 is the best technically

My limited experience of people who have changed systems 'seems' to be that they bend over backwards to justify it

The only time I don't instinctively reach for the K-3 is when I'm going somewhere with dim light. In such conditions my first choice is the K-01, purely because of its high ISO capabilities and the fact that I like to use the focus peaking in live view with old MF lenses, like the M50 F1.4.
My K-5IIs is getting used much less since I got the K-3, it remains a great camera, but not quite as great as the K-3 and is relegated to backup duties!
