get an "empty" PZ 2x and AF should work fine. I've tried it.
Good point, I've just bought one and may remove the glass as I think this may be more effective than using it with glass in. Even with a manual focus 2x 'sans glass' focussing is pretty easy in manual mode and the closer focussing with no loss of IQ is a real boon.

Some very nice shots in this set, three of the mono ones particularly catch my eye (#9, #11, #20).

There are some that I'm not so keen on, the wonky nature of #6 and #14 for example, I'm sure this is intentional but for me it serves no purpose on these shots. #5 really does the lady no favours at all, it is a very competent shot, but I'm not sure it is right for this type of image (has she seen it)?

Some of the images look a bit over-sharpened, e.g. #1 and #24. However, there is no denying the reportage quality of this set, well done Smeggy, they are a delight to view and quite different from most of the images we see on the Forum.

It's often considered 'poor form' to advertise one's camera in your first post, some feel it is more polite to introduce yourself first and become familiar on the Forum. It might be helpful to give us some information about whether you've owned the camera from new, if not when you bought it and who you bought it from.

Trust is a big part of transactions on the Forum and it is difficult to assess things from someone's first post.

As an aside, I can confirm the K-3 is brilliant with the older lenses, for several reasons:

- It has focus peaking in 'live view', this revolutionises focus ease and accuracy with MF lenses

- The 'focus confirmation' in the viewfinder is more accurate than with any other Pentax body I've used

- It has the resolution to take advantage of the best lenses, some of the old ones are crackers, like my Pentax-M 28mm F3.5 for example

- It meters very accurately with old manual lenses

Enjoy!

Been to check out the viewpoints today at my parents in law's house, there will be a superb view of the riders coming up Jawbone Hill in Sheffield, with no obstructions from spectators as they won't be allowed on this stretch of the road (it's too narrow and has no footpath).

Looking forward to getting some decent shots, this will take some planning.

I think these are just the type of subjects that are made for HDR and the processing here is not over the top. I like all of them, but 3 is may particular favourite.

I like it Tim, it is clean, uncluttered and simple. It responds quickly and is easy to navigate. It is also very easy on the eye and the images are reproduced in good quality.

No criticism from me.

The Tour is going up Jawbone Hill at Oughtibridge and luckily for me my Parents in Law live right on the hill! We will get a superb vantage point from a field at the edge of their garden, which overlooks the road as it winds up the hill and over a bridge. Whats more, there will be no spectators in the way, we will have an uninterrupted vantage point!

I'm hoping to get some good images of the day, fingers crossed for good weather.

David
