Years ago I used Photobucket to share my photos and it worked well until the site filled up with links to porn, porn images and scams. Then I started using Flickr and it was great until about 3 years ago when they tweaked it, loosing loads of useful features in the process and making it run slow. Now its next to useless especially when it comes to uploading multiple images or a the odd video. Sometimes it takes hours or a day or two before I can get batches of images uploaded.
Can anyone recommend a reliable safe place to store and share images?
Regards David

Although we have to pay for it, our favourite slide program is Pictures2Exe, from www.wnsoft.com
I like the sound of Pictures2Exe I think the Essentials version at $69 might do me it looks to have most of what I might need. What version do you use John. Regards David
Oops just found out $69 converts today to £58, this might be a bit too rich for me for the occasional slideshow for friends.

Shotcut. Free, cross platform, open source. Monthly updates. No ads, no money required. Lot's of video tutorials on Youtube, and their forum is helpful.
Plus, it's not a steep learning curve.
Hi Thanks for that I have installed and tried Shotcut but found it a bit daunting, perhaps I need to spend a bit/lot more time understanding how to use it. I will give it another try. If anyone who's used it has any tips on how to begin with it I would much appreciate it. Regards David

Hi
I create quite a few slideshows from photos for friends parties etc. Up until recently I very successfully used Windows Live Movie Maker, it did all I wanted very easily. My new W10 PC however wont accept the Windows Movie Maker installation because Microsoft have left the initial link but I believe taken away the main download files to install it. I have searched the net for inexpensive and free software but cant find anything anywhere near as good as Live Movie Maker. They either fall short of what I require and/or are laden with adverts and links asking for payments. PSE 13 has reasonable slideshow software but like many apps and programs I've tried only 1 audio track can be added.
Like I could with Live Movie Maker, I need to be able to add up to 250 photos, add title pages and text in slides, plus the odd video file or two, arrange them chronologically, add several music tracks and if required fade them in/out and trim. Easily preview the project and when its OK export to various formats and DVD. Has anyone any clues where I should be looking I don't mind paying but not more than £25 if possible.

Lucky Guy
Nice camera and good results from a first time out. My preference is four but a pity the water wasn't going over the jetty as it is in five. Best go back again some time and really test the camera's and your water proofing.
Oh by the way I like the full set.

Raynox 250 should be in everyone's bag. Even if you have a macro, it never hurts to go even bigger They are good quality and also double up as a magnifying glass or a macro lens for your phone!
Or buy an old wide angle for a few quid (like a soligor 28mm) and get a lens reversing ring to either reverse it onto your body or onto the end of a longer lens.
I can't comment about wide angle.
Im beginning to feel the Raynox macro adater may be better for me but liked the idea of having Macro and Wide in one adapter. Re the Raynox whats the difference between a Raynox 150 and a 250 when on my kit 18-55 lens.

For the zoom lens mentioned in the starting of this thread post...

The most economical item in TWO different ways would be to use a front end lens filter.

One can purchase them in single filters or sets; from +1 to +10, in some cases well beyond ten. And depending upon the filter size selected; one might just be able to use that same sized filter on a second lens -eventually.

The most popular front end filter size for Pentax braded PK lenses seems to currently be 49mm.

One might also want to look into actually purchasing larger filters and then using conversion step up rings; stepping up from the original lens front sided thread to one which would normally be larger than what is found on the front.
I'm afraid you've lost me a little. Are you just talking about filters or the Macro/Wide Angle screw on adapters I'm enquiring about?

The results are not great, but probably OK for web or small prints. It's a cheap and cheerful way of achieving wide or tele shots from a standard lens. A prime might be a better choice to use a front converter on, rather than a zoom.
Thanks for that, I understand you get what you pay for. At this stage I cant afford a dedicated lens so an adapter might keep me happy for a while. This one seems to good to be true so it probably is.

Has anyone experience of any of these or similar devices http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/52mm-0-45x-Wide-Angle-Macro-Conversion-Lens-for-Nikon-...
I didn't know such things existed but would love to be able to use my 18-55 kit lens for the occasional wide angle and macro shot. If anyone has used anything similar please let me know. I haven't got lots of cash to splash on a new high end lens so are they any good? Or what would you suggest for people like me with limited funds.
