I started with the Tammy 70-300 and was happy with it, until I got the DA55-300, it is a much better lens and I would strongly reccomend you get it. Decent used ones go for about £200 here or you can get a DA L for £140 here.

No 2 for me as well, the first shot is an ok shot of an interesting feature, although it does look as if the tower is about to fall. No 2 is IMHO a much better, stronger image. Filling the fov and the B&W conversion give it a really strong presence. I would get rid of the metal shed though.

Yes it does, optically the lens will be the same as a standalone, however quite often it will not come with a hood or bag, and sometimes it will have a plstic mount. These lenses are usually appended with an L.

AV (aperture rear dial ISO front) or manual, af on half shutter press, SR always on except when using tripod (or I forget to turn it off :blush ISO 100 or up to 400 if neccessary. Invariably have ev comp at +1, centre weighted metering and centre focus point.

Have to say that I have always received a very good service from RM, Last week I sent a special delivery next day, it got there less than 24 hrs later. My normal post is 2nd class recorded, have not had any issues in aprox 85 postings. Perhaps I am just lucky

It sits in your outbox until it read by the recipient. That way you can edit it at anytime. Seems to work fine to me.
