looks like the piece of wood he just took off from is pretty sharp, it's interesting if nothing else. Has a feeling of action to it.

and he's coming in for the KILL.

I did consider gluing him to the pergola or buying a very expensive fast lens. It was a difficult shot - brightly backlit and through a closed window. But it ain't easy to get the exact moment of take off, so all in all I'm quite pleased with my blurry tit.

Here he is again, still and after a good feed. I know the photos are not technically good, but he has some character:
