Perhaps we could have a seperate forum area for such topics :
It would save me looking at them.

Interesting comment K10D, how much of a shoot like above is down to your ideas, and how much is directed from the advertising agency?

The Panning action in the first is not good enough to freeze the subject and blur the background, so you get a bit of both, lots of ghosting on the static parts. I think to pull this kind of shot off takes a lot of practice; TBH I would`nt even attempt it, so bonus points to you there

In the second shot the blur on the skateboard implies motion quite well. and everything else seems sharp, this is my favoured shot.

Not a big fan of popping but this works quite well, as an exercise, but why did you not straighten it as well: As an image i think a much tighter crop on the building would look better, but then you would lose the popping effect.

For me photography is the science behind taking photographs. Good photographs are a blend of good technique and a good eye. However, with very powerful images technique is less important, it is all in the seeing. This image is one of the most powefull ever made, but technically it is not great.

Also wonder how much the big 2 subsidise proffesionals to use their brands.

Hi,
Like the sky and the colours in the mid ground, but for me the left foreground does not add anything, it detracts. Hope you don`t mind the crop;

Also like the frame effect, have not seen this before.
