Last week there was a secondhand Sigma 105mm in Cameraworld in Chelmsford for £275, mint condition with case and 6 month guarantee. Might be worth checking if they've still got it.

It just looks a bit out of focus to me, or it could be that the lens isn't as sharp once stopped right down to f/22. The blue house looks fine, but this one definitely looks soft, so I don't think it's the software.

A fair point, it's not the same specification, but in use (I have one) you're very unlikely to notice any difference.

I prefer the less contrasty ones myself, they really show the detail in the pitted surfaces, whereas I think you lose some of that with the higher contrast.

My only thought about the 4 images together, is that no.4 looks a little soft in comparison with the others. A little camera shake perhaps? Just doesn't seem to me to have the same crispness to it.

I like the images though - I'm a texture kind of guy.

That does include postage now though, you'd have to add £3.95 on top of the old price for that.

Does bump the price up if you were buying a few things though.

Well, I'm in Essex (Brentwood), just a quick jaunt around the beloved M25 gets me into Herts. Would be up for a trip out at some point, especially as I'm missing the meet tomorrow.

Although I said I would be there, and I would love to be, my sister in law's coming down to stay for the weekend, and I don't think I'd be very good company in the evening if I've been driving for 6 hours during the day.

Plus, on the evidence of the past fortnight, I really don't think I'd be out of the house by 7am. Sorry, just seem to be worn out of late.

After the last meet (St. Albans) we said we should organise one down this way again, perhaps buckinghamshire way where we seem to have a lot of members, or any of the counties surrounding London.
