...it's a great lens, especially shooting around f/2.4

But that's all just my opinion!
Well, not just yours.

i would like to think i would use the 50mm 1.4 after i get the 16-50 but it will probably be sat in a draw...
Or perhaps not. I got the FA50mm f/1.4 in June, and it's hardly been off the camera, it's definitely my single lens choice at the moment for wandering around. I have the 16-45, and although it's more versatile than the 50mm, I just love the look of the 50.

I've even thought of disposing of the 16-45, and using a core lens kit of 10-20 Sigma, 50mm 1.4, 105mm Macro and 50-200. I won't do it, but it's definitely crossed my mind more than once.

Well, unless I'm mistaken a lot of your pics, including this worthy winner, are pre-forum, so you were 'there' already.

Have to say I really enjoy looking at your photos, you certainly do have a good eye for a composition.

Well, I look forward to seeing what you come up with as a topic this week. Well done!

You need to adjust one of the settings in the 'Custom Setting' menu. The setting you want is 'Using Aperture Ring', and you need to set it to '2 - Permitted'. It's on the 6th 'page' down, so either keep scrolling down or just go 'up' a couple of times and you're there.

You'll see from the description that it says "Pictures can be taken even when aperture ring position is other than A". The lenses you're trying to use almost certainly don't have an 'A' setting on the aperture ring, so by setting this menu item to permitted, the camera will allow the shutter to fire.

You'll need to meter manually too - easiest way to do this is to press the green button, which should select the correct shutter speed for the aperture you've set. However, the K10D doesn't meter correctly with these old lenses, so you may have to adjust the shutter speed afterwards.

You could probably extract the jpeg image from the file if it's displaying in Explorer, so at least you'd have a full size version of it. Can't remember what software can do this, but I'm sure someone here will.

I had a whole folder of images corrupted on my flashtrax before, couldn't get the PEFs back, but the recovery software came up with the images which I could then save as TIFFs.

Just had a look at DSG on Wikipedia, and this quote caught my eye:

"In March 2007 DSG announced it has identified a "significant fraud operation" at the Parisian warehouse operations of Pixmania. They are estimated to have lost £8m worth of electronic goods. French police are currently investigating."

Pixmania is one of the operations DSG own. Might explain why things seem to be in stock one minute, then out of stock after you've ordered one...

I tied my BPM Bellows on my K10D and it fouled where the flash on top of the pentaprism sticks out.
I've got the same ones Peter, you just need to pop an extension tube between the bellows and the camera. A medium sized one does it I think.

Haven't used mine too much yet, but got good results from my Sigma 105mm macro lens.

You can't have a username like 'HotShots4u2c' then say "actually I don't think I'll bother..."
