I think I will forget posting images until the site gets a 21st century upload program on it.

Do you really think it's so difficult, or don't you think your pictures are worth the effort?

It's like an I.Q. test. The people who pass get to post photos.

You can't have a username like 'HotShots4u2c' then say "actually I don't think I'll bother..."

Now if only people were required to pass an IQ test before being allowed to drive a car, buy a gun or have kids....

So I can't be bothered !! Maybe I am just having lots of senior moments, but I have spent much time trying to figure out how to do it, trying different sites.

It would be nice if one of the clever high IQ persons on here that commented, could explain in detail how to do it so simply. One lady was nice enough to give me some pointers the other day, which I tried. Didn't work.

As far as "hotshots" goes, I am the photographer for our Fire Dep't, the name has nothing to do with award winning images.
Bottom line. I can shoot up to 400-500 shots per incident and during training sessions. These all get processed by me. I don't have the time to mess around trying to post images. If you prefer to operate in an old fashioned way, be my guest. Sorry, I prefer a fast simple modern upload process.

By the way I just got the K10D. Have not used it on any incidents yet.

ok here's how I do it:
select an image(s) in iWeb. (Mac).
drag it and drop it into an open page (I have a .Mac account).
click "publish"
open my web browser to my web site.
click on the image to open it. command (or right) click the image to copy its image address.

go back to pentax forum (Post comment/reply) and click the "Img" button paste the url into the box, click the "Img" button again.

click the "Submit" button.

done!

and if you're a PC user, here's how I do it (not that I do it that often)

go to www.photobucket.com

you will need to set up an account, but these are free and it's pretty painless.

log in, you are presented with a gallery page. At the top is an upload thinger.

hit a browse button, find your file on your computer.

click upload

once your picture is uploaded, it appears in your gallery with code snippets below it for you to copy and paste. All you have to do is copy the one marked "img" and paste it into a post here exactly as it is.

just to prove it works, here's one I made earlier.

It should be as simple as posting a pic for an add on eBay. I am not very good with computers and I too cannot be bothered to try, try and try again to still get nowhere.

He knows how to post as he posted images when his sensor had crap on it.
But as we have come to know hotshots he is never happy unless he has something to whine and bi##h about.

Clarky.

You are a bit late with your post. There are several images on the forum way before the crap on the sensor image. My old brain finally sorted it out.

I know you are down under, but you just have to get with the program.

I spend half my day bitching about the other half !!!! but it's fun pulling peoples strings and getting the reaction. It kind of sums them up.

Just a big Teddy Bear at heart.

Hope you got your insurance claim sorted without too much bitching !!!

Merry Christmas. Ho Ho Ho.

And I believe form an article I recently amused myself with in the papers that it's supposed to be "Ha Ha Ha" in Australia.

We all know what a "Ho" is, but the Aussies took it to the next level by firing Santa because he said "Ho Ho Ho"...

Who would have ever thought the PC crowd would be alive and well down under.

Actually that's a very pleasant thought, the PC crowd down under. What a joy that would be.

Happy Christmas. HA HO, HA HO.
