Why do people keep picking subjects I've already set in previous comps?

To me, this is just another 'Self Portrait' theme.

What's your budget?

How wide do you want your wide angle lens?

Older fisheyes are going to be designed for 35mm, so won't have such an exagerated effect on your K10D, definitely better off with the 10-17mm.

Macro lenses are often discussed on here, just about anything by Pentax/Sigma/Tamron will give you good results. Even the Cosina type (100mm f/3.5) aren't bad at all, and can be picked up cheaply. Or if you got a 50mm f/1.7 lens, you could use this with extension tubes for good results.

But without knowing your budget, answers will be limited.

Just move the mouse down a bit and you actually see the fancy lens thingy that took the shot, even read the description of it around the edge.
Just think about that for a second...

How many photos can you think of where you can see the front of the lens from the outside...?

It's been done with stitched photos - look at the lens of the guy pulling a face in the seat behind the photographer. Not much ghosting evident, but there is some, especially if you look at the roof, several lines don't quite match up.

The image directly down is just something to fill the space where the photographers legs would appear, as well as a nice bit of advertising.

Fantastic shot though, and some excellent software to stitch all that together.

Well, that's what I thought, but there seems to be widespread mention of it on the net, but no solution (that I could find). And WMM doesn't say there's anything wrong with it, just plays the audio. I'll have a dig about some more, but if there's a free editor that does the job I'll most likely use that.

I suppose I could search the Canon FAQs.

Also interested in this, as my wife has just got herself a Canon G9 (and I have to be honest, I recommended it :shock and it does excellent video, but the Windows Movie Maker doesn't recognise the AVI files (only plays the audio, with a blank screen), although Quicktime shows them fine.

I can thoroughly recommend this book, if you're interested enough in the subject.
