Craig,
Canon and Nikon mount often have different prices than Pentax.
Also, why do you care so much about Donald's sale on ebay. You've given your opinion, now let it go! There is no point going on about the price of an item, Donald knows what he's doing, and he is free to do as he wishes.
I was just confused why it was relisted at the same price rather than a lower one that was all.
As i stated i would happily take it at £250 i was just trying to gauge if he was looking for more.
As for my first paragraph, yes i admit it does sound a little like Price Policing but than was unintentional. I was merely pointing out the recent increases have kept the used market solid.
Apologises if it read any other way.

Just checked my bank statement. This is what I paid SRS inc. postage for mine. They were the cheapest at the time.

Canon one bought from Microglobe 03/06/08 = £295.47

It needs to get processed first.
My general route is Raw, to Tiff then Large Jpeg (these can be 9 meg).
In saying that though i have a stunning picture of my Son and Daughter hanging on the wall 30 inch by 20 inch razor sharp and from a 2 meg jpeg.

As for Pentax not releasing more models well that could very simply be due to the fact that Samsung are quite visionary in markets and possibly decided just to consolodate at this particular time rather than invest millions in new models.
As for Jessops, well they have been the masters of their own downfall. I was in the Glasgow store the other week and it was like shopping in Russia during the Cold War.
What happens then?. End of world?. Jessops shutting up completely?
Or are you referring to the mythical New Pentax DSLR that no one with any cred seems to know anything about?
I hope its true, but im a "believe it when i see it person"
Its long been accepted that DPReview are amongst the first to get these snippets and i may have missed it but i havent seen a mention of it.
And as for that Shady Picture that keeps appearing on the web it looks like a Sony A700 has Raped a Canon 400D and this is its offspring.

It had 24 watchers, some of who were waiting until the final few minutes when there would have been the usual bidding stampede, how do I know ?, loads of email's afterwards saying so.
If it does not sell I am not bothered, but if you think that a start price of £250 is high, for a 9 month old lens that currently retails for £370, then I would suggest that you may be out of touch with Pentax second hand lens costs.
If I was buying it at £370, and saw one on ebay for £250 I think I know which one would be grabbing my attention.
So they were around the £230 - £250 used mark, mint so nothing has changed really apart from the fact they are still going for around the £230-£250 used mark as the recent price hikes have allowed them to stay solid in the used market instead of naturally depreciating. Im also pretty sure if 24 people were watching and were interested at the price then one would have placed a bid with a couple of hours to go to prevent you from removing the listing.
Its your lens and as such you may ask what you wish, i was merely hinting at a marketing stratedgy of starting a little lower if you are so confident it would sell for more.
Oh and one more Point, i think £250 is a decent price and would happily pay that for the lens.
I had assumed you were expecting a whole lot more than £250 and removed it just incase thats all it sold for.
And again with ebay and Paypal claiming a total of 14% thus leaving you with around £215.
With that said i will happily offer you £240 inc RMSD by Bank Transfer, cash, or whatever for the lens.

Check out this link for Pentax lens info.
Manual lenses take some getting used too but are worth the effort.
My Plan of attack is to use Manual lenses as much as possible Hardgravity.
But always nice to have a 50mm AF in the bag.
Going to think about the f1.4 50mm @ £150 ish. Nice price for a whole lotta lens.

Few test shots, shot in Raw with my basic PP. Curves, USM and not a lot else.
All shots were taken handheld with IS on, Bit of a wind blowing here also.
Lens used was the 16-45 f4. (Im pretty impressed with it considering it was in real terms around £170 as i bought it with bundle.)
In particular i am very happy with the 2 dandelion shots, the one at f4 seems a little soft but they were both moving a fair bit in the wind so to get these shots @f6.7 with a 1/60 shutter speed and f4 with a 1/80 shutter speed is a testament to the on camera IS and everyone tells you its better on lenses.
First one is f8.
