K20D will finally be with me tomorrow.

So im looking for a few lenses.

Pentax Equiv of Nikon, Canon 50mm f1.8. (Im not sure what it is but i guess there is one.)

Any other Bang for the Buck lenses you might have, i havent a clue about them so be patient till i do some research.
Someone mentioned a 135mm ? but theres a few different models out there.
Basically just let me know what Primes you have.

SMC Pentax-A, or F, or FA 50mm 1:1.7 is perhaps the nearest equivalent. The A version is manual focus, the F and FA are both auto focus. Using the older K or M versions takes a bit more work to get correct exposures so I would avoid them for now.

The A version was the de facto standard lens supplied with Pentax film SLR's in the 80's so there are plenty of them about at reasonable prices.

Some A versions of this lens suffer from a sticking aperture ring so beware. The lens requires partial dismantling to fix a broken post which supports a small leaf spring.

SMC Pentax-FA 50mm 1:1.4 is excellent and reasonably priced brand new whilst they are still available.

Enjoy your new camera.

I have an M series 50mm f1.7 and A series 28mm f2.8 which I am about to sell. If either are of interest, let me know.

Check out this link for Pentax lens info.

Manual lenses take some getting used too but are worth the effort.
Cheers, HG

Hmm..yes i will take all of those in the picture.
My Plan of attack is to use Manual lenses as much as possible Hardgravity.
But always nice to have a 50mm AF in the bag.
Going to think about the f1.4 50mm @ £150 ish. Nice price for a whole lotta lens.
