Any other Bang for the Buck lenses you might have, i havent a clue about them so be patient till i do some research.
Someone mentioned a 135mm ? but theres a few different models out there.
Basically just let me know what Primes you have.

Of course they will and their lines will be branded Samsung same as Sony did with Minolta.
As for Pentax not releasing more models well that could very simply be due to the fact that Samsung are quite visionary in markets and possibly decided just to consolodate at this particular time rather than invest millions in new models.
I would not be surprised to see Nikon being swallowed by Sony in the furture. You just need to take a look at the 52 week share prices of the companies concerned.
Pentax has hardly moved, canon and Nikon have seen massive share price drops and in all honesty i think this is partly due to them having so many models for sale at a very shaky time.
Canon and Nikon need these new models to hit the ground running and that just is not happening in the current climate.
As for Jessops, well they have been the masters of their own downfall. I was in the Glasgow store the other week and it was like shopping in Russia during the Cold War.
I asked about 3 different cameras and what bundles they could offer and the saleman basically said what was on the shelf was what they had and tbh that wasnt very much.
I think Jessops will eventually keep 2 or 3 big stores and bin the rest.
In the end these are not times for expansion of ranges but more of consolodation to ride it out and see what happens next as i believe there is no one in this world could give you a Best Guess as to what is round the corner.

Anyways on to my question.
What are the Bang for the Buck Staples in the Pentax range of lenses?
Will be looking for a 50mm Prime obviously but are there any other top performers out there?
Mainly interested in Manual Primes.

Dear Dear, you younger guys do not recognized a bargain when you see it Iv'e had Pentax cameras for 35 years and never had any problems plus I think the lenses of years ago are much better quality than the lenses produced today, I might have a K20 for sale in the next couple of weeks and I will sell it at a reasonable price but I would rather keep it than sell for less than what it is really worth, there is nothing wrong with manual lenses if you want auto focus you might as well buy a point and shoot camera, everybody is always wanting cheap cheap but you get what you pay for.

Hi Craig. welcome to the Forum!
I've been struggling with the same problem. Let me share what I've learnt so far.
Shim's comments are correct; second-hand prices are very close to new ones. There are some apparantly good deals out there, but caveat emptor!
Be careful with people selling kit 'in warranty'. Pentax will only recognise the warranty IF you have proof of purchase.
Pentax Pro dealers sell with 2 years warranty; non-pentax Pro dealers only offer 1 year.
I'm currently torn between a new K20D body only with 2 year warranty Vs. a new K20D + 18-55 mk 2 with 1 year warranty for the same price (applying Quidco + a discount code).
Whatever I do, however, (unless buying from someone from this Forum who all seem to be genuine enthusiasts), I'll be buying new.
Read other threads for some of the problems (rare it seems) that members have faced getting their kit fixed by Pentax, and this with kit thats in warranty.
Good luck!
I will do a bit of research into the "Getting kit fixed if there is an issues" problem also.
What the best price you have seen New with Codes?

Hi Folks,
New to the forums and in the market for a minty Used K20D plus lenses and extras.
Recently moved away from Canon as i didnt feel i was challenging myself so decided i would go down the Pentax route and try and get a load of Cheap, old manual lenses and challenge myself a little.
Let me know what you have plus prices.
