these taken in the cherry tree at the bottom of our garden.
Over the wall, the shepherd says, "You looking for that raven?"(!)
(I'd heard a deep croaking call, but thought no more of it.)
"There's a pair here somewhere, you can hear them calling".
Which, indeed, I could.
Inthe field next to us, the field formerly occupied by the sheep (connection!) there is an old sycamore tree. And at the top sat:
A RAVEN!

Not the highest IQ ever(!), but a good bird to see in the field next door!
C&C Welcome.

Yes, that does work for no.2. I'm rather pleased with that now!
The close-up of the insect will have to be next time - when I take the macro!

for your constructive C&Cs. I was in two minds whether to take the 55-300 or my 100 macro. realised when I got there it was the wrong choice! I know! I'll take both next time!! I tried to maximise the use of minimal dof but in doing so didn't see the wood for the trees!?
I agree with & accept your comments. But can I just say, I am pleased the way the grass springs from the bot. left corner in no. 3, leading the eye to the main subject.......
Best regards & thanks for looking,
Roger

I find these re-workings of images fascinating, inasmuch as the original scene is still in one's mind, the image taken underlines that memory... but then a different view/interpretation is presented & I find it quite strange, even a little disconserting; was the original scene really as I remember/remembered it?
This is ,in no way, meant to decry your image & I thank you for it.
Best Regards,
Roger.

Looks like one of those globes you put your hands on & it makes static(?) sparky things (technical term, there!) run around.
