Don - Have already started writing a script to simulate that function on my PC (somewhat of an experiment - more used to mainframes than PC's)... Sounds like I need to take another look at a Mac - it's been about 10 years since I last looked...

I've been playing with this for a bit, and it seems to do exactly what it says...

One question though, and I apologize if I missed it in the manual... When a picture is saved, it goes to the PC's hard drive (as expected), but is there any way to get it to also go to the SD card? (call me paranoid, but I'd like to have it in both places...)

Our company switched to Dells exclusively for both Laptops and Desktops, and we have about 200 of them installed (about 200 laptops) Their support (once you get past the first level) is quite good, and their QA seems to be pretty good as well. It got to the point where we couldn't justify the cost of doing it all ourselves...

I actually worked a bit (between other jobs) at a Dell PC support centre, but they went with overseas outsourcing and I moved back into programming...

Having said that, I can't speak for the average home user, as I'm one of those 'build-your-own' types...

While I don't have an official source or anything like that, I bought a 2G card on Saturday last and just installed and activated it 2 minutes ago.

Apparently they're not too worried about the Mar 31 expiry date...

Also, because the other group is much larger, the number of posts can be very large, and reading them al can be time-consuming. (and the signal-to-noise ratio is also affected...

I also would be interested on hearing opinions on Sigma's 2.8 zooms, since I can't afford Pentax lenses...

I've been looking at the 24-70 Macro and the 28-70 (I know it's just personal, but I've never used the short end very much, so a 17mm bottom end for me would be like putting pearls on swine...)

The 24-70 macro is C$599 and the 28-70 is C$399. Are the extra 4mm worth the money? Same question for the Macro? (It's pretty short for a Macro lens, isn't it ?)

Anyway, specific AND general comments on Sigma fast zooms would be appreciated...
