There is a North American forum, US based, at
http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/
but the group here is smaller, and (maybe because of that) there seems to be more of a sense of community...
Also, because the other group is much larger, the number of posts can be very large, and reading them al can be time-consuming. (and the signal-to-noise ratio is also affected...
just my take...
just my opinion - I read both...

Hi!
Welcome!
This is a great forum, full of generous talented photographers that will help you out in more ways than you can imagine.
There's gifted photographers, knowelegdable pentax gearheads, techheads, and a couple nut jobs (you'll probably get a few pms warning you not get us started with posts about certian, buck-toothed, bushy-tailed, nut-happy rodents....).
Have Fun!

been there...(it's a little dull)....
you'll find people on the Brittish side of the pond care a little more about the images and less about who's lens is bigger.

I was merely insinuating that this forum will soon be overrun with Canadians...

You didn't take me too literally. Did you?
I was trying to be funny!
I find North americans love thier equipment, and our publications, and sponsered forums are very much paid ads with little in the creative content.
I've not found many forums on ANY subject over on this side of the pond that I actually wanted to join.
but I do love this forum!

I thought I had been banned the other day, when the site was trying to stop spammers. So I contacted the mods, and got this reply:
"Who do you think we are? DPReview?
So welcome, indeed. Some of us do care too much about equipment (especially me), but it takes all sorts to make a world.

Canadian Guy Here!
i have been browsing this forum for maybe close to a year now....I finally registered..
I have aprox close to 8 Pentax digi cams in the span of 4 years...I always sell and upgrade myself when a new model came out.
Anyways..I currently own 2 Pentax Cameras.
*istDS and just recently, I purchased the Optio A20[yesterday]
I also got a new Pentax lense [16-45 lens]...Man, what a huge difference from the lense that came with the *istDS.
Anyways, I am still learning...and have always enjoyed photography.
Just wondering, do any of you know if there is a North American Forum similar to this one?
