I suppose the concept of a dummies guide type booklet for the K10 would be an insult to all you hardened experts out there but if you know of something that is a little less technical and a bit more hands-on-practical-experience than the instruction book then I would like to hear about it.

Something that will gently take me by the hand and lead me through the complexities instead of firing bullets of do this, do that. Something that will leave me feeling relaxed not frazzled

Something that brings together all the advice and explanations that I have seen on this forum but did not make a record of

I volunteer to do it.

Just as soon as Matt does the Silkypix manual.

No guesses as to who we'll get to try it out. And, no, I didn't mean you, Graham.

The Magic Lantern Guides: Pentax K10D is due to be released on May 1, 2007. Written by Peter K. Burian and published by Lark Books - ISBN: 160059185X.

I have the same book for the K100D and it is very good.

George,

I would gladly volunteer. If it comes with the 10D, of course

Hey oldtimer...I want to write a "Dummies Book" for dummies that are too dumb to know which "Dummies Book" to buy.

javascript:emoticon('')
Think it'll sell?

I don't doubt that there are a few dummies around who are dumb enough to buy such a book, but it's not for me

Yep, found that, just wondered if anyone had actually seen one. Guess I will have to struggle through the manual.

Thanks anyway.

yeah, the pentax forum here is not the right market for such a book...but hey there's always the canon forums!

what do you think about my new diet book idea.
.
365 pages, all printed on rice paper each page has one line..."eat this page today...only this page."

or my parenting book for raising teenagers...
a 2000 page hardcover book, with only one paragraph.
"If you suspect your teenager is on drugs, apply this book liberally to side of teenagers head. If you don't suspect your teenager is on drugs, you are probably wrong. Do it anyways."

Crap.
There go all my aspirations of being a famous author.
Guess I'll keep working on getting famous as a photographer.
