CaptureOne 3.7.7 released

PhaseOne have finally released a version of Capture One which supports Pentax K10D & K100D (& presumably the K110D too) PEF's.

Peter, thanks for the heads up from me too.

While I love the flexability of Silkypix there's a lot of C1's workflow that Silkypix is missing, good to have both options again.

Later this year is what PhaseOne are telling everyone. If their past record is a measure, it'll not be with us 'til 2008.

I joined their forum to complain at the promised, but missed, delivery of C1 3.7.7 in 'Q1 2007'. Guess what, complaining is not allowed ? ? ?

The fact you can get a Sandisk Extreme III 2Gb SD card with a free Capture One LE license for £17.90 from picstop.co.uk - there's no excuse not to use a decent RAW convertor

The C1LE offer ended march 31st, this was according to the info that came with the Sandisk package.
I was just in time to register.

At the moment I've got a grin from ear to ear - feels like I've been shopping in the U.S. I realise that's a bit cryptic, but until I've actually got my new camera in my hands, I won't quite believe the price I got it for.

Will fill you in in a few days time. There's no point telling you where I got it, as the price has changed now...

Regarding my earlier cryptic message...

Monday night I got the usual email from Amazon saying "Why don't you buy this...", which I deleted, but then thought "Oh, I'll just have a look". They showed a K110D at £299, which I realised was a good price, so I clicked the link and had a browse.

K10D, body only, from £468.07 new, it said. "Excuse me?" I thought, but sure enough, Calumet Photographic had the K10D listed at this price (which is £549 less VAT - I'm guessing that as a 'Pro' dealer they're used to quoting prices less VAT all the time). Having practically made my mind up to get one anyway, and as C1 was now compatible, I obviously jumped at the chance.

Half expected a call/email to say they'd made a mistake, but nothing - and the camera arrived today...

Now I realise the really kind thing to do would have been to come on here Monday night and point you all in the right direction, but I thought that one or two orders at this obviously wrong price might get honoured - a whole flood of orders and they'd probably cancel the lot.

I was selfish, I'm sorry.

But it's a dog eat dog world, so don't come crying to me. Besides, I won't hear you, I'll be playing with my new toy.

And sorry to Chris at SRS, I'd decided to buy from you until this came up.

can anyone confirm whether or not you still get a free capture one LE license with a sandisk extreme 3 card?

I have one, but would like both another card and another code, to install CO LE on more computers...

I asked on another thread and someone said it was probably alright, but it still wasnt definitive.

earlier in this thread it was suggested that the offer finished march 31st, but can anyone confirm that they have bought a sandisk extreme 3 card since then and whether there was a code with it?

I take the 31st march expiry (also mentioned on the code card I have) to be for first use of that particular code, rather than a date that the deal stops for new purchases, but its not clear.

sorry about not rhyming it must be a terrible disappointment, but I wouldnt want to inflict any spur of the moment doggerel...

While I don't have an official source or anything like that, I bought a 2G card on Saturday last and just installed and activated it 2 minutes ago.

Apparently they're not too worried about the Mar 31 expiry date...
