I think people have realised how good some of the old pentax glass is!....the colour from some of these old lenses on the modern day cameras is superb!.........

Sorry I missed this one!..........If I was you I would go for somewhere like Alnmouth,,,not as trippy as Seahouses ,and the prices will be more reasonable. It also offers some great shots on the river,loads of boats etc,great walks along the beach and nice friendly people. It's also more central for Alnwick,Morpeth etc,and it's not far from Dunstanbourgh,Seahouses and Bambourgh. If you go to the latter,drive into the village and turn down the "Windings",it goes right down to the beach and the parking is free!.......hope this helps.......Ken

Hand held or on your new tripod Brian?........I'm with the "Spider" on this one, centre focus is the only way to go!....I have a hell of a job keeping 300 steady when hand held,dont know if it's the balance or what.......just keep at it and it will come.....all the best......Ken

I love the first one!.......perfect DoF!....I Don't know if it would be correct in a composition sort of way,but it looks equally as good with the right hand branch cropped off at the joint! .......just my opinion!.......Ken
