Can anyone recomend any reasonable B&Bs or Pubs/Inns around the Seahouses area, the state of the Pound means we may have to pass on our annual trip to the Canaries We thought we'd trade the suntans for english breakfasts (diets start in April)

Why not try a cottage from cottages4you or similar? We've stayed in Seahouses and the cost of a cottage for a week works out far better than any B&B. There is a nice inn is Seahouses though. Can't recall its name.

Sorry I missed this one!..........If I was you I would go for somewhere like Alnmouth,,,not as trippy as Seahouses ,and the prices will be more reasonable. It also offers some great shots on the river, loads of boats etc, great walks along the beach and nice friendly people. It's also more central for Alnwick,Morpeth etc,and it's not far from Dunstanbourgh,Seahouses and Bambourgh. If you go to the latter, drive into the village and turn down the "Windings",it goes right down to the beach and the parking is free!.......hope this helps.......Ken

Ps the butchers in Bambourgh sells the best Scotch pies for miles around!..

Well thank you folks for reviving such and old post...

....unfortunately your all too late, I found somewhere on the net yesterday and booked three nights

Going up next Tuesday, and so far the weather looks as if it may be OK for a few snaps.

This is'nt our first visit though, but last time we were up there I was shooting slide film
