I'm wondering what side of your brain most photographers use and if that influence there photos in what type and how/what you think while composing the shot. The later would be hard to write down for everyone and take to much time to do so just do the tests and let me know what comes out.

These are the tests
quiz my score; 15% left, 85% right
the lady clockwise so right brained

The scoring goes as followed:
- each test is 50% of the score.
- you grade yourself with the lady test.
my would be 85% right for the quiz + 100% right with the lady because I could only let her turn clockwise = 92,5% right brained

Good luck

I am amazed at how many use both ways - right up, and also right down.
Yep I'm one of those, right eyed and right handed.
I've no idea why or when I use it - Right up or right down
With a monopod it's right hand up, I know that I do that so that I can look with my left eye also but now I wonder why I don't do that all the time.

I'm a mystery to myself now

Well I am hoping to get outside once or twice even if it is cold at....... ahh you mean the aeroplane windows. I'll have to give that a go, maybe the Pyrenees, at least it will be sunny at 35000 feet

Well it's also very cold at 35000 feet but like you said sunny but I wont go out if I was you, even if the windows are dirty

If it isnt to cloudy you will see enough and if you have a window seat (if not too busy just move to one) during take off and decent you might be able to make some shot from that, they can look very interesting because you see things from another perspective.

With normally shooting you wont notice a diffrence because the camera has a buffer so shooting 6 shots continues will be just as fast with both cards, only if you are really filling the buffer you should/might be able to notice it.
Btw shooting in DNG is faster since the processor of the camera is compressing them less, try it with those please

No problem at all Steve just like what the others said.

Try to shoot some amazing photos out of the windows, I hope you get a clear one though, they can be quite filthy!

Which is the best brand? My personal favourite is Sanyo. Before the switch from NiMH to Lithium-Polymer in the electric model airplane hobby, Sanyo was king. Their batteries took the abuse that we dished out (charging in under 20 minutes and then running at such high currents that we depleted them in 5 or 6 minutes) and kept on working for years. My experience with Sanyo's consumer AA batteries has been the same; they hold up after years of use and hundreds of recharges.

Another good brand (common in Europe) is Varta. I have an eleven year old Varta battery pack that, when freshly charged, still has 80% of the capacity that it did when it was new.
I would say sanyo too if you don't use your camera much but if you drain your batteries in a month you won't notice much of the drain and 2000 mAh VS 2700 mAh you have some layway for the drain anyway so pick the one you like the most

LCDs arent known for there colour accuracy so there might be a problem there that's why I still have a trusted CRT here, I simply don't have the money to buy an eizo.

okay just printed your first image which had a light colour over it (on my screen) with a Canon ip4500 on canon matt photopaper and using the colour profile for that with the help of Photoshop cs3.
Looking at the wet photo now and there is a very but really very slight hint of magneta there corresponding almost too my monitor atleast.
I'm looking at it under a TL light don't know what colour they give though but mostly yellow right?

Watching your photos on a CRT and I can see some light magenta colour cast on the right side of your first image not on the left side though.
On the second image I see no cast (looking with 21 year young eyes here :wink

just checked with my laptop and no colour cast here, I shall print the first one later so that you have some more feedback and I'm also curious how acurate my monitor now is

Just click on gallery and upload photo, the rest explains hisself.
to link the image to this part of the forum read this >>> link

btw instead of an unsharpen mask you can also use high pass filter, that might even work better
