The groovy reflections are great, but I prefer the image of the male mandarin just before it, the contrast looks better and the colours on the duck stand out more against the water. All cracking shots though, the light on the bluebells is lovely.

I like the tap too, and agree that it might look better cropped, with a bit cropped off the left hand side.

I didn't enter the last comp as I had trouble finding a suitable subject here in our new home..Very good entries for that comp, I was most impressed with Wombles efforts.

I think this one will be a bit of a challenge too, since there seems to be no native plants here in the desert save a few scrawny weeds that came up when it rained unexpectedly last week: will have to do a bit of reasearch methinks. Or would introduced-but-now-common flora be ok? Apparently even dates were introduced here.

Thanks for that. I am tempted. Any idea how good it will be with the 50-200 WR? I am thinking about a TC for this lens until I can afford a long prime. Just have to work out how to get it here....

Hi Chris,

Will the Tamron teleconverter work wit all Pentax lenses with AF?

Hello and wecome to the forum! I would think the twin-lens kit would be a good option, it gives you a good focal range to start with and the kit lenses are cheaper when you buy a kit. They also give good results.

The first shot is lovely. What is it? The fly is really good too, fantastic detail.
