No but have used; http://www.asahiphoto.co.uk/ twice for the 17-70mm. Once the lens had stopped monitoring the focal length - stuck at 43mm. He fixed that. It then did it again 3 years later but that time he couldn't get it sorted for some reason - a different fault. Sent the lens back at his expense etc; very impressed. Took a long time but that was in part getting hold of spares from Europe.

And those you can see in both hemispheres appear upside down in NZ (or perhasp upside down in UK) Welcome Mike, I'll be interested to see your Pentax astro shots. I have a CEM40 mount but don't post astropics here as my camera is a ZWO Astro cam. My pentaxes are just for terrestrial work. Of course being in NZ you'll get a whole host of astro objects in the southern sky that I just can't see from the UK.

We have a spotted woodpecker visit our seed feeder most days at present. (I have one or two piccies but they are not taken with Pentax gear).
He also wakes us up from time to time having a drill on or TV aerial that reverberates through the house!!

It would be good to see a version where (perhaps) the glass bases were less prominent as well for comparison purpose? Just my thoughts - still a great image as is!

This is where the aforementioned scissors would have come into play. A side-step to the left and there were more of the little ... wotsits. As it is I have cropped a bit off the left side of the image. Note to self... always pack secateurs. I already feel like a pack-animal when I go out photo-snapping! womble wrote:

For me, there isn't a lot in the frame but what there is, it implies a cold and stark landscape so it works well
