SRS have my K1 (Mk 1) for sale at around 48,000. I have moved away from Pentax now. It was a bit of a wrench - great camera! FYI it underwent repair last year; the two control dials had ceased to function and it needed new top plate assembly.

I have thought about tackling this myself following the Mode dial repair threads, but not sure if the problem is the same as its a different couple of dials.
I had rung Alan Marlow who has helped a lot of folk out and he said it is a job for official Pentax Repair as it involves changing a PCB
So - have tried contacting John Pye to get an idea of cost - but as stated in OP, no response from them!
