it would make more sense if we were labelled as New Members up to, say, 100 posts, then became Loyal Members up to 1000 posts, and therafter be Site Veterans (followed with bronze, silver and gold medals at the same intervals).
Sounds very sensible !
I do not feel myself a Veteran at all. I start feeling, that I am a member
This is good feeling, by the way

Maybe there should be sm number for posted photos as well - before YouŽll be honored with coloured medals ?

sure, you are not !
that was my answer.

No I do not know any analyst.

By the way, I skip cutlery. I will give you less work with scratching
The others will take the blame of you getting a new wig.

I thought it was the place to show photos that represent your style of shooting and to show the photos you're proud off. I came to this idea because when you click on your username you see the photos in the gallery and I used them to see where somone interest lays, which can be very helpfull sometimes.
same words from me !!!!

I was thinking of loading some photos to the portfolio - just to give an idea of my way, my personality ... the ones that I like myself.
Comments should be not about single photos but about the style ?

Gallery's function may be like a bank: you search by the themes and key-words, authors, camera and obye etc.
That means:anything you post will be available through the searching motor of the gallery.
There may be also a voting possibility, giving points. And you can also search "the best results" in gallery....

There are lot of possibilities. Somebody just has to do the job....

Asking advice and critics is for the forum Your photo

But would you be so kind and while judging tell us: what YOU think there are on the pics.

no 4 !!!!

Best light. Nice colours. Good composition.
And not "making show" - not aware of being before the camera - that means: natural. Also the different generations....

good!

addition to the new competition

Here is sth from 1995, I had a compact then. And the photo is scanned in from a paperprint....quality is bad. (have to look up my negatives and do some good scanning work)

To my surprise there have been quite a lot of people who canŽt tell what the object is. It seemes so obvious for me....

I found some time for logging in at last......

Thanks, judge!

Good pic-s and good (and friendly) opinions !
And very interesting theme. It made mind restless and kept the thoughts busy with the theme.

I wouldnt have given myself so many plusses as you did. I liked the door, but wasnt so pleased about the pic. I wished I could have all of you here and see, what kind of photo you made of it. I felt myself quite helpless.

Tony was sure favourite from the very firs sight. No doubt. Lilly is as professional as usually ! RR is included into my 3 favourites.
Also I liked idea of Malo; colors, detail and crop (and feeling) of Belinda. Mhuni took some time to get used, but is good.

Hyram's clock made me to wish to try the "clock" pic myself. I would have opened the door a little bit, got the key in the focus and had the klockface as a hint on backround.....as if peeping into a forbidden room... close up for sure.
